Family Crisis Services (FCS) was founded in 1977 and is the domestic violence resource center that serves victims and survivors in Cumberland County, Maine. We provide safe and accessible services to all people affected by domestic violence regardless of race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender, age, primary language spoken, or immigration status.
Our Mission:
1. To provide programs which focus on individual advocacy and safety for domestic violence victims and their children
2. To work for and encourage institutional change to assign responsibility for abusive behaviour to the perpetrators.
3. To change the cultural values which perpetuate and support domestic violence through community education.
