Community Concepts, Inc.

Community Concepts is a non-profit Community Action Agency, incorporated in 1965. As a private non profit, Community Concepts is led by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of local Maine citizens. One-third of the members represent low-income, one third represent the private sector and one-third represent the public sector.

Programs are designed with Community Concepts’ mission in mind, giving people the opportunity to improve their lives by focusing on their strengths, building knowledge and providing support, information and resources they need to reach their goals. Community Concepts served over 25,000 families and businesses last year. The majority clients of Community Concepts are at or below the federal poverty level.
